Bill C-33 and Term 17 Votes of MP Candidates

This vote table was produced for the 1997 federal election

In the last Parliament, there were no House of Commons votes on the life issues that could be used to clearly identify MPs as voting pro-life or anti-life. There were two significant family issue votes that can assist voters in determining the pro-family sentiments of MPs and which have an indirect bearing on the life issues.

Campaign Life Coalition strongly advises pro-lifers to place the candidates' views and actions on the direct life issues as the first priority in making voting decisions. That is, if the MP has consistently voted and spoken against abortion and euthanasia, then that candidate is already far preferable to anti-life candidates, even if the pro-life MP voted for Bill C-33 and Term 17. Above all, CHOOSE LIFE, without which nothing else has any value.
