PRO-ABORTION SENATOR PUSHES EMBRYO ADOPTION

WASHINGTON, August 21, 2002 (LSN.ca) - The Bush administration plans to spend $1 million for public awareness campaigns promoting embryo adoptions. Surprisingly, the measure was put forward by Republican Sen. Arlen Specter, who supports both abortion and embryonic stem cell research.

Pro-abortion groups are frightened that the move may give rights to the unborn. Specter commented on the initiative saying: "If any of those embryos could produce life, I think they ought to produce life."
