SCIENTISTS CHAFE AT STEM CELL GUIDELINES
U.S. federal rules limiting human experimentation on embryonic stem cells are "hampering" efforts to find new treatments for conditions ranging from diabetes to spinal cord injuries, a panel of scientists complained, echoing the emotional appeals of actor Christopher Reeve, who accused President Bush of endangering "separation of church and state" by listening unduly to Catholic advisors.
