PRO-ABORTION NOMINEE DERAILED BY SPEEDING TICKET

TRENTON, April 17, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A high-ranking NARAL Pro-Choice
America official has torpedoed her own bid for a seat on the New Jersey Supreme Court by failing to pay a speeding ticket. Zulima Farber is a black Cuban-American, a partner with a large New Jersey law firm, and a state board chairperson for NARAL Pro-Choice America.

Democratic Governor Jim McGreevey, who had nominated Farber, has now withdrawn his support in light of a warrant issued for her arrest in January in connection with an unpaid speeding ticket.

Farber was seen by many Democrats "as the perfect choice," according to a report from CNSNews -- and the collapse of her nomination prospects looked like an act of God to pro-lifers.
