ANGLICAN PARISHES OPPOSED TO HOMOSEXUAL UNIONS ACCEPT ALTERNATIVE BISHOP

However Renegade Pro-Homosexual Bishop Unwilling to Accept Solution

VANCOUVER, March 26, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Eight Anglican parishes in the New Westminster BC Anglican diocese have voted by an overwhelming majority to accept a deal for 'alternative Episcopal oversight." The deal allows the parishes to escape the pro-homosexual blessings which were instituted by renegade Anglican bishop Michael Ingham. Bishop Terrence Buckle from the Diocese of Yukon offered and has been accepted as the new bishop for the parishes which remain faithful to Biblical pro-family principles.

Seven Anglican primates from around the world, the American Anglican Council and 12 American Bishops have expressed support for the alternative oversight as a way to handle the matter. However, Bishop Ingham has opposed the solution. Bishop Buckle will be discussing the matter with Anglican leaders from the province of British Columbia later this week and has asked Anglicans in Canada and around the world to pray for resolution.
