Brave New World of IVF: Woman's Legal Appeal For Former Partner's Frozen Sperm

LONDON, October 31, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A British woman plans a legal appeal to have her former partner's frozen sperm thawed, against his wishes, so that she can try to have the baby she has planned through IVF before her ovarian cancer makes it impossible.

Britain's High Court ruled that the woman, Natallie Evans, must get permission from her ex-partner. "She believes that while her embryos remain alive and in storage, then there is still hope and she must do everything she can," said a statement from her lawyer, announcing plans for an appeal.
