Lithuania Holds First March for Life and Family

VILINIUS, May 7, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Lithuania celebrated a 'Day of Life' on the last Sunday of April. The biggest celebration took place in the national capital, Vilnius.

Fr. Robertas Skrinskas, a Catholic priest and pro-life leader in Lithuania told LifeSiteNews.com that a Mass was celebrated at the Vilnius cathedral in the early afternoon and at 2pm the National association of families and parents organized the first pro life march  which was themed "Family - cradle of Life". 

Thousands of participants marched from the cathedral square to the Independent square, near parliament. Five Catholic bishops participated in the march.  Following the march there was a concert.
