Nobel 'Peace' Prize Awarded to De-Population, Abortion Advocate Al Gore
Previous Nobel Laureate said abortion is greatest destroyer of peace
By Meg Jalsevac
STOCKHOLM, October 12, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Based on former US Vice-President Al Gore's work in the climate field, the Nobel Prize organization saw fit to award a shared Nobel Peace Prize on him yesterday at the annual Nobel ceremony held in Stockholm. Many commentators are expressing dismay that the Nobel organization has denigrated all past awards by giving its prize to the politically correct Gore who does not fit any of its founder's definitions for award recipients. In fact, say pro-life leaders, Gore's strong support for world de-population and abortion make him especially unsuitable for the Nobel Prize.
According to the last will and testament of Nobel Peace Prize founder, Alfred Nobel, the purpose of the prize was to bestow the merited honor "to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between the nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses".
It is difficult for many observers to comprehend how Al Gore's promotion of his extreme alarmist, widely disputed climate change scenario and his notorious support for abortion "rights" and international family planning policies fit Alfred Nobel's stated purpose for the peace prize.
Regardless of the critical reception of Gore's supposed research by many climate scientists around the world, conservatives were not surprised when global warming became yet another machination of the international population control movement. As early as 1997, Mr. Gore has been asserting that climate change is happening because "Third World nations are producing too many children too fast... it is time to ignore the controversy over family planning and cut out-of-control population growth...''.
Gore has held firm to his belief in a woman's right to murder her unborn child saying in the 2000 election campaign that, "I will defend a woman's right to choose, regardless of her economic circumstances. I will not allow Roe v. Wade to be overturned."
Fueled by Mr. Gore's research assertion that global warming is largely man-made and more specifically due to global overpopulation, family planning and population control agencies are now championing the global warming argument to justify calls for implementing even more of their extreme de-population measures.
Upon receiving the award, Mr. Gore reportedly stated, "We face a true planetary emergency. The climate crisis is not a political issue, it is a moral and spiritual challenge to all of humanity."
Candidate for canonization and previous Nobel Peace Laureate, Mother Theresa of Calcutta, well-versed in matters of a spiritual nature, said about abortion, "Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want. This is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion."
Renowned as one of the most influential and peace-promoting men of the past century, Pope John Paul II was known to compare abortion to the Nazi Holocaust and warned the abortion "rights" movement of the "…grave danger that the false interpretation of human rights poses in not taking into account the reality of human nature, which can drive democratic regimes to transform themselves into totalitarian regimes."
According to the Nobel citation issued with the Peace Prize, "[Mr. Gore] is probably the single individual who has done most to create greater worldwide understanding of the measures that need to be adopted [to address the climate change]." However, Gore has also been charged with presenting flawed and manipulative arguments to support his apocalyptic climate change warnings. This week a British judge ruled that Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" film contains 9 scientific errors that were made in "the context of alarmism and exaggeration."
The bestowal of such a prestigious award and the ironic significance of these citation words, in the name of 'Peace', are both inherently opposed to the violent nature of one of the "measures" that Mr. Gore promotes, that is, abortion. Abortion is a violent procedure that results in the life of an unborn child being torn apart in the very womb of its mother. In China, brutal forced abortion is common and in many other nations women are heavily pressured by governments, family, friends and sexual partners to abort their children.
In addition to abortion, other measures such as forced or strongly encouraged sterilization, penalties for having more than child, poor financial support for families with children, denigration of motherhood, threats to withdraw crucially needed foreign aid and other strategies are imposed on nations by de-populationists, totally disregarding the rights, customs and wishes of the people.
